As Nile Rodgers of Chic produced so many of DD's stuff, good mix. Chic, along with Roxy Music, were big infulance on the band.

To the three people who rated this song/video with a "thumbs down": ARE YOU COMPLETELY INSANE?? To everyone else (i.e. the sane population with taste): you know what to do to show the love.

It helps that Duran was VERY heavily influenced by Chic, and "Girls on Film" was one of the Duran songs where it showed the most.

Love this! I would also love to know where to find isolated Duran tracks or even instrumentals? What software to use to isolate tracks?

Absolutely magnificent! Ive seen Duran Duran live 3 times & they sound just as good live. As for 70s disco..well, what a superb era for dance music. Where was this mix when I used to be DJ?? P.S. you should listen to KISSFM Australia on podcast live every Sunday between 2.30-4pm. The best disco/funk, English, Soul etc you'll hear on the airwaves.

Wow!!! The Bass is just INCREDIBLE. Always loved Nile Rogers because he was so appreciative of Duran Duran. They did some show on VH1 a few years ago, and he got Duran Duran named as the most "underated band." He would know since both he and Tony worked with them. Love the mix!!!

If you can't see the link between Chic and The New Romantic bands of the 80's you are totally blind and don't music. I think Bowie, Roxy Music and Chic were the fathers of New Romantic movement and Now today's Dance- Rock bands after Great mash- up djmagnet.

You have taken two of my favorite songs and made them into one hypnotically, trance inducing, beyond ethereal, fantastical dance mix. Hazzah!
